A little about my subjects...

Primo was our first Italian Greyhound. His name, meaning 'first born' in Italian, is appropriate since he was born on New Years Day, 2005. Primo is an old (and sometimes grumpy) soul but he has spunk too. He has a mischievous side that includes a fondness for shredding tissues and toilet paper that he finds in the trash. He loves to be warm, hiding under covers whenever he is asleep. His tongue will seek out anyone within licking distance. His loud bark and aggressive play belie his tiny 9 lb. package.

Teddy entered our lives in July, 2006. He is a teddy bear in every sense of the word. He is soft and cuddly and loves to give 'hugs', standing on his back legs and wrapping his stinky paws around your neck. Whereas Primo is a human trapped in a dog's body, Teddy is a true dog. He loves to eat, play with tennis balls and romp in the yard. He has a dopey, yet endearing, nature. Unlike his fearless brother, he is a gentle 'giant', weighing in at 18 lbs. He is shy around strangers and big dogs but if you take the time to get to know him, he will love you forever.

A little about me...

If you've looked at my photos, it should be evident that I'm not a photographer. I simply love taking and sharing pictures of my dogs. I find their faces to be so expressive that they just beg to be photographed. I have been a dog lover my entire life. I fell in love with the Italian Greyhound while searching for a breed that wouldn't be too harsh on my husband's allergies. The more I read about them, the more I loved them. Their athleticism and delicate physique captured me instantly. Although their clinginess, high energy and difficulty to house train make them a poor choice for many people, for us, they are perfect. They have truly taken over our lives and constantly make us smile. I hope they will do the same for you. ~Lauren
